Susan joined the Reveal team with 30 years of public accounting experience, including 11 years running her own CPA firm. What attracted her to Reveal is the thorough, high-quality work produced and the knowledge and skill-level of the staff. She also values the firm’s commitment to customer service, which includes implementing systems to ensure deadlines are never missed.
What motivates Susan every day is her desire to make a difference for her clients. Having run her own business, Susan knows the challenges clients face. She likes being able to simplify their business finances, reduce their stress and free them up to focus on what they do best.
Susan is a graduate of Oakland University in Rochester, Michigan. In addition to being a CPA, she is a QuickBooks Pro Advisor. While running her own company in Michigan, she was voted “Best Accountant” by the local business community.
A native of Detroit, Susan has been married for over 30 years and has lived with her husband in states all over the country. Now the couple have put down roots in North Carolina, not far from their only daughter. For Susan, family has always come first, and she is proud of the fact that as a working mother and business owner, she never missed a single event, meet, game or tournament while her daughter was growing up, proving that women can have both a family and a career.
Susan believes that everyone needs to find their purpose and discover what they can contribute to others, an idea summed up in her favorite quote by Mark Twain, “The two most important days of your life are the day you are born and the day you find out why.”
